About This Site This site allows you to read or download audience research reports published by Walrus Research. All of the reports on this site are open for circulation to anyone. As new reports are loaded onto this site, they are added to the list on the left.
We design, conduct and interpret audience research – especially for radio. We use the proper method for the research question. We will do focus groups, perceptual surveys, program testing, recontact studies, or secondary analysis of Arbitron data as appropriate. Most of the research we deliver to stations, producers, and networks is proprietary and confidential. The reports on this site are published with permission of clients including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The president of Walrus Research is George Bailey, PhD, who conducted his first audience research workshop for public radio in 1978. George Bailey is an Emeritus Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
Audience Research Analysis maintains the most comprehensive source for authoritative public radio research at ARAnet.com. The primary source for public radio Arbitron ratings is the Radio Research Consortium at RRConline.org. |
